Your company needs a voice. If you haven’t already developed one you like, it’s time to do so.
What’s a voice? It’s just a blog, right?
Not really.
What you’re reading right now is me. It’s my voice and how I speak with people I meet, if cleaned up a bit. If we were to meet in person, you would hear it and see the mannerisms that accompany my voice.
But, since we’re not likely to meet in person, I need to be sure that my personality and values come through in the written word.
Your company should have the same thing! Your website visitors should know exactly where they landed, and your company’s unique voice is part of that.
Your company’s voice appears in everything your customers see—emails, blogs, ads, and social media posts.
Defining your voice determines whether your customers get what you’re saying, or just get confused.
I look at it like this: If a picture is worth a thousand words, a well-defined voice is worth a thousand feelings. How will you say the hard things? Easy things? Educate potential clients?
The bottom line is businesses are run by people who do business with people who they know, like, and trust. Your voice is vital in cultivating those relationships.
The lovely part about great writers is our adaptability: we can alter our voice to reflect that of our client.
So those emails, blogs and articles I write for you? They’ll sound like you. But, more like what you’d like to say, instead of the word vomit that comes out first thing in the morning…before your first cup of coffee.
Let’s get started. Reach out today.
